Wrapping Up the School Year – Looking Ahead

If you are a Litzsinger teacher partner, please read this. All of it!

Wrapping Up the 2016–17 School Year
Thank you for partnering with Litzsinger Road Ecology Center this school year. You are contributing to our vision of seeing teachers in the St. Louis region using local outdoor places to enhance learning as their students develop wildlife habitats and engage with their community.

If you’re planning to take a summer workshop with us…
…which includes a school-year training program, please register as soon as possible. Returning teachers who have completed their current training program are eligible for Sustainable Schoolyards and Place-based Learning: The Foxfire Approach. More workshop and program information can be found on our website. Note that the introductory workshop for new teachers, pre-K to 2nd grade, is full. We are still taking applications for new teachers, grades 3–8.

If you’re NOT planning to take a summer workshop with us…
You will still have opportunity to visit LREC with your students as long as you show evidence of using your own school community for outdoor teaching and learning. You will have opportunity to submit a Fall 2017 LREC Visit Proposal toward the end of the summer. Look for details in the August edition of the LREC Community eNewsletter.

Please take a moment to respond to a brief teacher feedback survey. We want your input

Please schedule a meeting with us in the coming weeks if you want to further discuss the future of our partnership.

And don’t forget to GET OUTSIDE.
