Young Feathered Friends

There have been several sightings of young friends in the past couple of weeks. Mama ducks have been leading the ducklings in Deer Creek.

Several poults (turkey babies) have been seen staying close to their mothers as well. One busy hen was seen with 12 youngsters in tow!

Eurasian tree sparrows have hatched in some of the nest-boxes in the prairie.

Wrens have made a home in one of the birdhouses by the glass house and the peeping of little ones has been heard. Robins nesting above one of the doors to the barn have hatched as well.
