Common Names: Carpenter Bee and Showy Goldenrod
Scientific Names: Xylocopa virginiana and Solidagospeciosa
Showy goldenrod is a Missouri native perennial which typically occurs in dry soils in open woods, fields, and prairies throughout most of the State except the Ozark region.
