Malinda Slagle—Restoration Ecologist

Malinda is the restoration ecologist at LREC. She collects seeds, plants plants, kills weeds, and conducts research on pollinators, native plants, and invasive species at LREC. She got her BA in biology from Grinnell College in Grinnell, Iowa and her MS in biology from the University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa. Her master's thesis was on the bees and reproduction of lead plant (Amorpha canescens) on prairie remnants in northwest Iowa.
