Jackson Park Elementary School LIONS Program

LIONS club members at Jackson Park have named themselves the Environmental Detectives. Among the projects they have undertaken are regular stream monitoring and clean-up and the development of board games that help other students in the school learn about local ecology. The game designers were proud to share their games with their peers in the school’s regular after-school program.

When they are not serving as detectives, the LIONS team is focused on building environmental stewardship in the community. This year they will be spearheading an expanded recycling program and creating public service announcements (PSA’s) that they hope to broadcast locally.
