Creek
Deer Creek, part of the River Des Peres watershed, runs through Litzsinger Road Ecology Center creating a rich riparian corridor.

Prairie
LREC has restored approximately 12 acres of tallgrass prairie. Tallgrass prairie once covered vast areas of Missouri.

Woodlands
Litzsinger Road Ecology Center contains about 10 acres of bottomland hardwood forest.
