Calling All Teachers: Sustainable Schoolyards and Beyond!

Second grade students at Oak Hill School investigate the woodland trail on their school grounds.

Have your students ever wanted to beautify their schoolyard? Maybe they’ve noticed a neglected area that could use a little TLC.  If so, then our Sustainable Schoolyards program is for you! During our summer workshop learn how to get your students out investigating and analyzing their school grounds. Lessons are provided to help support you in getting your kids outside. By the end of the school year you will have plans in place to plant a native garden!

If you have already taken our Sustainable Schoolyards workshop, then you are in luck. For the very first time we are offering a 2-day Sustainable Schoolyards 2 experience. Learn how to re-energize your schoolyard habitat project, develop a long-term management plan and truly use your schoolyard as the learning place you envision. This is also a wonderful opportunity to connect with other like-minded teachers!
